Mystery Patient Drill

What is the Mystery Patient Drill Project?

The PCEPN Mystery Patient Drill Project was designed to provide direct support for the development and evaluation of screening and isolation protocols in the primary care setting. This exercise tested the ability of participating primary care centers to follow their infection control plans when faced with a potentially infectious patient. Participation in this project assisted organizations with meeting expectations and requirements from CMS, the Joint Commission, Article 28 regulations, OSHA etc. To date, PCEPN, in partnership with NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene completed 3 cycles of this exercise from 2015 to 2017.
